#5: 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota

 

The 2nd generation Dodge Dakota is a great midsize pickup truck. It came with an optional 4.7L V8 engine producing about 230hp. The Dakota was one of the only midsize pickup trucks from the 1990's to have a V8 engine.  It was also one of the first midsize pickup trucks to have an optional crew cab. The Chevrolet K1500 was one of the last "simple"pickup trucks to be sold in America. It is a very reliable truck that can last over 250 000 kilometers. The Ford Ranger is a great pickup truck for someone who wants decent fuel economy and an easy vehicle to drive in town. The Ranger was the last "small" pickup truck in North-America. Although it was considered a "midsize" pickup truck, it was a much smaller vehicle than its competitors. It came with 3 engine configurations, a 2.3L I4 engine, a 3.0L V6 and a 4.0L V6. The horsepower ranged from 143 horsepower to 207 horsepower.
